The animal health requirements applicable to non-commercial movement of dogs, cats and ferrets exported to the Community Member States are laid down in the European Union (EU) regulations (1).

A maximum of 5 birds may be imported from a non-EU-member-state into the EU at one time. The animals must either have been vaccinated against avian influenza or spend a certain time in quarantine.
