Traveling with Pets
Are you planning to travel with an animal from Canada to Europe? Please carefully read this information, as the EU strictly enforces regulations on animal travel in order to protect the member states against the introduction and spread of rabies and other infectious diseases.
The animal health requirements applicable to non-commercial movement of dogs, cats and ferrets exported to the Community Member States are laid down in the European Union (EU) regulations (1).
Traveling to Germany with a Dog, Cat or Ferret
A maximum of 5 birds may be imported from a non-EU-member-state into the EU at one time. The animals must either have been vaccinated against avian influenza or spend a certain time in quarantine.
