Long stays in Germany
All persons who wish to study at a high school, college or university in Germany are required to obtain a residence permit. In order to enter Germany, a student visa has to be issued.
Study visa
All persons who wish to do an internship in Germany are required to obtain a residence permit in the form of a visa. To do an internship in Germany is a work permit required. A work permit will be included in the visa issued for this purpose.
Internship visa
All persons who wish to work as a researcher at/ for an institution in Germany (including their spouses and minor children) are required to obtain a residence permit. In order to enter Germany, a research visa has to be issued.
Research visa
All persons who wish to work as an Au-pair in a family in Germany are required to obtain a residence permit in the form of a visa. To do an Au-Pair is a work permit required. To work as an Au-Pair in Germany you must be at least 18 years old and should not be older than 25. For your stay a minimum duration of 6 months is required.
Au-Pair visa
All persons who wish to seek gainful employment in Germany are required to obtain a residence permit in the form of a visa. A work permit will be included in the visa issued for this purpose.
Work visa
All persons who wish to seek gainful Permanent Residency in Germany (or staing in Germany longer than 3 months) are required to obtain a residence permit in the form of a visa.
