In Toronto, the Battle of Vimy Ridge was remembered during a cermony at Fort York, attended by the Lieutenenat Governor of Ontraio, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Mayor John Tory, the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne and Chief of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation, R. Stacey LaForme.
