Goethe-Institut in Canada

The Goethe-Institut is a worldwide network of German cultural centres which promote the German language and culture abroad. Its programs feature contemporary German culture within a European setting within the areas of film, literature, music and society. The Goethe-Instituts seek to build relationships between German and Canadian cultural spheres both on an individual and institutional level. They offer German language courses for all levels and purposes, and support the teaching of German at high schools and universities.

What is the "Onleihe"? Onleihe is the eLibrary of the Goethe-Institut Canada. This service allows you to borrow German newspapers such as Die Zeit, FAZ, Süddeutsche Zeitung, magazines like Der Spiegel, ebooks (novels and documentaries on various subjects), audio books and videos. With Onleihe, borrowing documents is at your fingertips!
