Newsletter of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ottawa

Dear Reader,

Cottage and travel season is finally upon us. As we are typing these lines, surely many of you are absorbed in vacation planning or are already busy packing your bags. Therefore, we have decided to offer a slightly shorted version of our newsletter this month.

But do rest assured: for those of you who have decided to stay "in town," our newsletter still contains its usual calendar of cultural events. For example, music enthusiasts might be happy to find out that a German artist and works by German composers will feature at two classical music festivals in Ottawa in July: Chamberfest and Music and Beyond.

As some of our team will try to sneak in a summer break as well, our next issue will appear during the first week of September. Until then, we will still offer several ways to stay up-to-date on German arts and culture in Ottawa and the rest of Canada: either by keeping an eye on our event calendar at www.canada.diplo.de/events (which can also be subscribed to through RSS at www.canada.diplo.de/rss) or via our Twitter feed @GermanyInCanada.

Wishing all of you a delightful summer vacation period!
